The June Solar Eclipse falls at 11 degrees of Gemini on June 1 at 5:03PM, EST. Gemini is the natural ruler of the third house of communication, travel, speech and immediate family members. Thus, to some extent we will all be concerned with these issues. Gemini is ruled by Mercury, the planet of communication, speech, and travel. While we will all be occupied by third house matters to some extent, the eclipse will be personal depending on what house and personal planets it falls on in your natal chart.

Eclipses often have a long life and the energy of an eclipse can last for months, sometimes years to come. Eclipses are like guideposts and by looking at where the eclipses fall in your chart astrologers can get an idea of what the focus in your life will be over the year (s) to come.

Eclipses Effect Us All

Those most affected by this eclipse will be Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo and Pisces, or others who have a personal planet in their natal chart the eclipse is hitting. The US Chart

In the US chart the eclipse falls within three degrees of the US Uranus at 8 degrees of Gemini. Uranus relates to unexpected, and/or explosive situations. March 21, the Sun conjuncts Uranus at 1 degree of Aries. With Uranus we may expect the unexpected. This could be a volatile transit with explosions and explosive situations around the world. It will be personally significant if you were born on March 21-22, June 22, 23, September 24, 25, or December 23-24. Otherwise, the day will be full of surprising events and turns and will probably not turn out exactly as we expect.

March 28-29 Venus conjuncts Neptune at 28-28 degrees of Aquarius. This transit has a dual potential, but where Neptune is involved confusion usually reigns. On the positive side, it can be a day of creative inspiration and imagination resulting in a moment of soaring to the highest of highs. If this is the case enjoy the moment as it is short lived. On the negative side, Venus with Neptune can result in confusion surrounding your love life, mis-communication, misunderstanding and relationships that do not live up to your expectations. March 28-31 Jupiter opposes Saturn at 14 degrees Libra/Aries This is a transit of restriction, frustration and delay. Uranus in Aries/ Supermoon in Virgo/Neptune in Aquarius-Pisces -Dramatic Actions and Events/March 2011

Uranus made a dramatic entrance into the sign Aries March 11, as earthquakes and a tsunami wrecked havoc on Japan and Hawaii, leaving thousands homeless and dead. Uranus entered Aries officially March 11 at 7:52PM EST. Uranus acts swiftly; squaring Pluto, the planet ruling nuclear weapons and facilities, as well as oil. The planet is at risk of nuclear incidents as well as weapons and several nuclear power plants have been damaged by the earthquake in Japan. This (Pluto-Uranus) energy will continue all year, reaching a peak June-August, as the two planets are within a one degree orb of each other. But, planets do not have to be exact to cause events. Uranus and Pluto will actually continue to square each other until 2016. Thus, we are at risk for many years to come of unexpected events and explosions around the world, wars, nuclear incidents and events, and catastrophic earth related disasters that will include water. The world is about to change is some very big ways, and it will simply take another powerful planetary line up to set it off (Pluto/Uranus square) again.

Uranus is at the 0 degree known as the Aries point. This much awaited event in the astrological world has more than lived up to it’s name thus far. Celeste Teal published the most widly quoted explanation of Uranus in Aries at the Aries point, also known as the ‘world point.’ ’A sudden outpouring of energies, indicative of involvement with the world at large.’

The energy of the upcoming full moon in Virgo has played a role in Japan’s tragedy, as well. This full moon has been described as an ‘extreme supermoon' because on March 19 the moon will swing more closely to the earth than it has in the past 18 years. March’s full moon occurs on Saturday March 19^th at 2:10 P.M. EST at 28 degrees Virgo 48 minutes. Full moon energy can be felt before the peak occurs as well as after. The 29^th degree is a significant one and every full moon since October has been at that significant degree. The 29^th degree is about change. This full moon causes conflicts with several planets, including Uranus, the planet/agent of disruption. As the full moon approaches we will see more events fitting this description.

Neptune, known as the water-bearer is currently in the 29^th degree of Aquarius. Author/Astrologer Helen Adams Garrett, wrote about the 29^th degree of Neptune in Aquarius, ’World Peace will be sought and those born with this degree will be active in the process, by agreement or by opposition to the cause May be caught in the battle and become a victim.’

The ground is littered with victims in the Middle East. As the victim toll in Japan reaches 10,000 at the time of this publication, all eyes are off Libya where a crazed dictator cleans up the streets and tells the world he never massacred civilians while the UN debates the legalities of intervention. The Arab League ministers voted to ask the UN to impose a no fly zone over Libya, but to the civilians under siege in that civil war torn country this may seem to be too little, too late. Author Celeste Teal states the 29^th degree is the weakest point of the sign it is occupying and often complicates decision making matters.

On March 18-19, Mercury opposes Saturn. This is a transit indicative of arguments, power struggles in the world, and accidents. It is oriented toward very serious issues and we will see this play out on a world level with debates, arguments and more negative news. We will hear news from governments around the world.

As the full moon peaks on the 19^th it opposes Uranus within one degree. This will create sudden, unexpected situations that may involve weather and water related occurrences. Mercury-Saturn plays into the picture as well, creating dangerous situations around the world that occur at the last minute. March 21-22 the Sun conjuncts Uranus, a transit indicative of sudden, explosive situations, accidents and explosions that could involve fire. At the 0 degree Aries point, events will likely involve the world in a big way, with certain individuals or entities that will make their desires known. No doubt, the tragedy in Japan will play a big part of this full moon, and we will continue to hear disturbing reports. But it is not limited to the news from Japan. This is a complex full moon, and indeed is a ‘supermoon,’ for many reasons. We can expect the unexpected with this one.

March 28-29 the Sun squares Pluto. Pluto is a ruthless planet and describes the ‘status quo, as well as oil. Pluto also rules nuclear weapons and substances. We will hear more at this time about Japan’s nuclear plant crisis, and oil. Prices may go up, and oil will become a major issue throughout 2011. Sun/Pluto is explosive and relates to power struggles of all types, as well as struggles against the current power structure. Pluto rules the media as well, and no doubt reporters will be at the forefront during this time.

Jupiter opposes Saturn the last two weeks of March. This transit is indicative of restriction, delays, obstacles, negative movement in financial markets and gridlock among governments, especially the US. Decisions will be difficult to make and movement may come to a virtual standstill.

As Mercury retrogrades in Aries on March 30, it does so in the sign ruling the individual (as well as collective) ego. At this time, we will have an opportunity to re-evaluate the actions of the recent past. Actions will be slowed, but in positive light decisions can be rethought. On the other hand, hasty decisions can be made without thought of consequences, and thinking may not be clear.

On a Personal Level

March 19 holds a volatile full moon and to some degree we will all feel the influence for a few hours or days, but for some it will be more intense than others, depending what it is aspecting in your chart. Uranus: Last dance in Pisces-The Planet of Revolution and Change Enters the Sign of the Individual Ego

We are on the precipice of major planetary change as Uranus transits through the final degrees of Pisces. Uranus is the planet of sudden, unexpected change, upheaval and revolution. Uranus is a slow moving planet, taking seven years to transit each sign. It entered Pisces, the last sign of the zodiac on March 11, 2003, and it moves into Aries on March 11, 2011 where it will remain until March 7, 2019 The sign Pisces often creates a ‘fog,’ between reality and the mystical world, which can become blurred to the extent it is hard to distinguish reality from non-reality. Uranus rules the internet, and nowhere has this blurred vision become more apparent than the explosion of Facebook and other social media sites, internet games, and even dating sites whereby individuals and players take on a persona different from his or her real life and often become consumed in a internet life of non-reality that over time becomes blurred with reality, or becomes the reality for the individual involved. This is truly a manifestation of Uranus in Pisces.

The 29^th Degree

World Events and Changes

When Uranus enters Aries at 0 degrees on March 11, it is at the Aries Point or the ‘world point,’ the 0 degree mark that is the beginning of all things. Uranus moves from mystical Pisces and inner manifestation to outer manifestation in the world. It is considered the point at which world events can occur involving us all in collective change. Uranus in Aries moves quickly, and will advance science, technology and medicine at a rapid pace. By the time Uranus leaves Aries medicine will have changed considerably and we can only imagine the advances in technology.

Many world events occurred late May-mid August 2010 when Uranus was at the Aries point for the first time, and this was only a preview to this planet’s seven year stay when it enters the first house of the zodiac for the next seven years. Spring/Summer 2010 saw a meltdown in the economy of numerous European countries and the BP oil spill was an event that garnered international attention. We saw travel problems with a huge volcanic ash cloud over Europe, China had an oil spill and numerous other events occurred, and heard news of developments in medicine.

We will be at greater risk of explosive situations and catastrophic conditions around the world as the planet of revolution conjuncts the Aries point. Aries is the ruler of the first house of self, and individual egos and ideas will make themselves known in the world. Individuals and entities will become more aggressive, war like and inclined to manifest their desires outwardly. We are already seeing this energy play out in the number of protests and demonstrations in the Middle East and civil war in Libya.

The last time Uranus was in Aries was 1927-1935. Among the greatest inventions of that time was television. The US Stock Market crashed in October 1929. (The stock market could not crash like it did in 1929 because of the institution of trading collars ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trading_collar ) that would shut the market down. In 1929 the stock market lost 23% of its value over 2 days. It could only lose this type of value over days/weeks/months of sustained loss. We also saw the Hitler's party come to power in 1933. The world changed then and during the next seven years and it will change again.

Personal Changes

As Uranus enters the first sign, changes will occur in the world and changes will occur on a very personal level for us individually. When Uranus changes signs this is a very big deal where planets are concerned. As Uranus enters Aries you will feel driven to move forward and accomplish things you may have been dreaming of for years. Aries does not wait around, but rather moves forward at the fastest pace of any sign. As Aries transits through your chart you may experience many changes in your personal life depending upon which personal planets Aries is affecting. Those most affected by Uranus’ entrance into Aries will be individuals born in the early degrees of the Cardinal signs: Aries, Libra, Cancer and Capricorn. Uranus/Saturn/Pluto- The Status Quo versus the Individual-A Return of the Cardinal Square

During Spring/summer of 2010 we experienced the Cardinal Grand Square that brought turmoil and chaos to the world and brought to light numerous situations in the world that call for change. As Uranus advances in the sign Aries it will create another Cardinal square between Saturn, Uranus and Pluto. This ‘grand square,’ of these three major planets will generate tension that will reach a point where change has no option but to occur, and situations cannot continue as usual.

In 2010 the square became almost exact between these three planets June- August. Planets do not have to be exact to cause events and in 2011 the Cardinal Square will reach a peak in June with Saturn retrograde at 10 degrees of Libra, Pluto at 6 degrees of Capricorn and Uranus at 4 degrees of Aries. These planets are well within orb of each other and will create turmoil, chaos and anger that will lead to change in the world and change and regeneration in our personal lives.

As Saturn (the taskmaster and status quo) goes direct and moves forward in July, Uranus in Aries will continue to square Pluto throughout the year. Thus, the ‘will of the individual,’ will continue to be pitted against the ‘status quo,’ throughout 2011.

It will be a year of violent and unexpected explosions and explosive situations, both at home and abroad. Pluto also rules oil, and with the turmoil in the Middle East it is more than possible we will see problems with the flow of oil through the Middle East, and escalations in price, throughout 2011. We are at risk of food shortages during this time, as well.

This explosive energy is obvious in the Middle East. The charts of many countries including Libya, Israel, Jordan, Iran and Iraq to name just a few are absolutely on the brink of change/civil war and will not go through this period and remain the same. Uranus will actually continue to square Pluto within it’s orb of influence until 2017. Eighty years ago Uranus entered Aries and changed the world. It will do so again.

What are the Changes About?

Saturn in Libra relates to law, governments and relationships of all kinds, both personal and personal, as well as relationships with the government. Marriage will come under scrutiny and we will hear more about same-sex marriage. Uranus in Aries relates to the ego of the individual and the collective will being expressed in the outer world. Pluto in Capricorn relates to the ‘powers that be.' This includes governments, banks, business, and underworld types of groups. It is in these areas we will see changes occur on the world stage. Governments and business will be disrupted and the individual will make his/her voice known. All people have a desire to live in peace and with a certain amount of personal security. When change occurs it will be a result of the needs of the individual not being met by governments and entities. It will be in the abovementioned areas that clashes occur, ultimately resulting in change. The world is going to be an angry place to live for a while.

There are also ego driven and misguided individuals who will make their voices heard. These individuals do not have to be spiritually motivated but egotistical, or driven by reasons of personal ideology. As Neptune enters Pisces, another wild card comes into the mix, relating to religion, and idealism as well as fanaticism. It will be a thin line humanity must walk in 2011.

Neptune Enters the Sign of Spirituality and Confusion

Neptune is the most misunderstood of signs, and the planet ruling religion and spirituality. It enters the twelfth sign of the zodiac on April 5 changing the mix even further. The twelfth house relates to the unseen world, the unconscious mind, the supernatural, and things and realms that are secret and hidden. It is the house of endings and clearing the deck before new beginnings. Neptune will be in Pisces until 2026.

While on one hard, the world in some ways and places may become more aware of the need for spirituality and a connection with the infinite, Pisces also rules fanatics, and extremists. Pisces rules drugs, the ocean, illusion, delusion, confusion, lies and deceit, drug dealers, ministers, the seamy side of life, painting, beauty, and the cinema and drunks. It is the most multidimensional of planets and therein lies the difficulty in understanding it. But where you have Neptune, you generally have confusion. Neptune can soar to the highest of highs and sink to the lowest of lows. And it rules water.

Natural and Man Made Catastrophes

The upcoming grand square, and subsequent Uranus-Pluto square can relate to both natural and man made disasters. Pisces rules water and Pluto rules oil, and Uranus in Aries brings sudden, unexpected situations and events. Pluto in Capricorn also relates to the earth, and we are in a period where the dictates of the planet must be taken into consideration. During the grand square of 2010 we saw volcanic eruptions, an ash cloud, earthquakes, flooding, and the contamination of the Gulf by British Petroleum. More such incidents will occur, and Neptune in Pisces speaks of water: flooding, melting ice caps, contamination, shortages-all of these are possible.

The Big Picture

We can only imagine the technological advances that will occur over the next seven years. How would one describe television to someone who had never heard of the concept at the turn of the 20^th century? How many lives will be saved as medical science unlocks the secrets to regenerating the body, perhaps even preventing aging. Stem cell research holds the key to more than we can imagine. Solar Eclipse - Not just about Money - the Earth Speaks Too!

The New Moon/solar eclipse falls at 13 degrees of Capricorn on January 4 at 4:03 AM, EST. Capricorn is the natural ruler of the 10th house of business and priorities. The eclipse squares Saturn, the taskmaster, bringing a dose of reality, responsibility and obligations to light. Venus squares Neptune at 26 degrees of Scorpio-Aquarius, and this transit is indicative of fraud, mistruths and lies relating to money and sex. It points toward issues between the sexes and news relating to same sex couplings as well.

Capricorn rules the earth as well as business, and issues will come to light that relate to the earth itself. We must listen to the planet speak, as it is the sustenance of all life in our world. 2010’s catastrophic earthquake in Haiti preceded the January 15 eclipse in Capricorn by 3 days. With the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction at 27 degrees of Pisces, expect more precipitation than normal and possibilities in some areas of flooding and issues surrounding water/precipitation.

The eclipse is prominent in the US natal chart. It falls in the second house of income/earned income, opposing the Sun, as well as the two money planets Venus and Jupiter. While it is 14 degrees off the US Pluto in Capricorn, it will conjunct the planet of transformation in the morning hours creating intensity and a collective desire for financial transformation in the world. Neptune moves to 27 degrees on January 10, conjuncting the moon in the US Natal chart. Neptune is the planet of illusion, delusion, confusion and lack of clarity. Americans are at risk of being lied to, and as a collective are asleep at the wheel in terms of understanding the big financial picture. As Neptune moves through the final degrees of the sign of Universal understanding problems will become more obvious. This transit also represents a weak housing market and a population that is growing weary of what is now the worst recession in 80 years.

January 8, the planet of love (Venus) enters Sagittarius lifting spirits and creating a more freewheeling and exuberant kind of energy for those in love or looking for love. Naturally, this works best for the fire signs. January 10, Mercury sextiles Sagittarius bringing sensitivity and creativity to the fore. Situations may be exaggerated. January 19, we have a full moon at 29 degrees of Cancer. The 29th degree holds special importance and relates to endings and finishing up matters. Cancer is the most emotional of all signs and rules the home and fourth house relating to the foundation and family. This full moon trines Jupiter, a positive indication whereby we can show generosity and warmth toward those we love.

January 20, energy will shift as the Sun leaves the sign of business and enters Aquarius. Wherever the Sun travels it spreads it’s light-in this case Aquarius- the natural ruler of the 11th house of friends, hopes and wishes and organizations and friends.

January 22, Jupiter enters Aries, the first sign of the zodiac. Jupiter is the financial planet and the planet of luck, abundance and expansion. Whatever Jupiter touches, it increases. Aries is a fire sign and we experienced Jupiter in this sign June 6-September 8, 2010 when it first entered the sign of the Ram. January 23, Venus sextiles Saturn. This is a positive transit for business, and connecting with things and persons from the past. It is a positive financial transit on the conservative side.

January 26, Saturn retrogrades at 17 degrees of Libra. Saturn retrogrades every year for approximately 4 months, and at this time the sign it is in is emphasized. Libra pertains to relationships, relationship issues, government, courts and laws, and these issues will come to the forefront. Bad marriages and relationships may end altogether. People are often more disciplined in their undertakings, and much depends upon what transits Saturn is making in your natal chart. On the same day, January 26, Mercury squares Saturn. This transit is accident prone and depressive and we may hear negative news about business or the economy. It is a tiring transit but can indicate increased focus.

Retrograde Mercury -- Here we go again, and just in time for the Holidays!!

Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water… Venus finally went direct, and now..the planet of communication (and mis-communication!) will go backward. Well, it doesn’t actually go backward, that’s just an expression, but at times it may seem to.

The final retrograde Mercury of 2010 will occur December 10-30 of this year. The Winged God will be stationary retrograde at 5 degrees of Capricorn December 9-13, turning retrograde on the 10th. It will retrograde back into Sagittarius at 29 degrees on December 19, and it will turn stationary direct at 19 degrees December 19- January 1, 2011, going direct on December 30.

The planet of communication retrogrades 3 or 4 times each year. During this time equipment breaks down, miscommunication occurs, situations breakdown, delays occur, relationships break up, and people from the past, as well as situations from the past occasionally reappear. It is wise not to make major decisions, buy high ticket items, make commitments, start a job, get married or sign contracts during this time. This theory has been tested many times over—by me!. Act now and you will regret it later, if you can avoid doing so! Occasionally, this can work in your favor, but as a rule it is best to be aware of the ramifications of this energy and act accordingly.

Retrograde Mercury is a time of re-accessing situations, people, jobs, bank accounts and any number of other things. It is a time to reflect on the past, perhaps plan, but it is not yet the time to implement new goals or move forward. That time will come when this important planet moves forward again.

The most important time during retrograde Mercury is the stationary retrograde and stationary direct period. This is when you should be most aware of the powerful energy this planet is beaming down on you. Snafus are most likely to occur, decisions most likely to change, unexpected events come up, and delays occur at the beginning and end of this period.

You will be most affected by this retrograde if you have a personal planet being aspected by 5 degrees of Capricorn during the stationary retrograde phase, or 19 degrees of Sagittarius when it goes direct.

So, what exactly does this mean to YOU? It means get prepared. Try and wrap up important matters, and if you are shopping for gifts you have until December 10, and that late date is pushing your luck! If you shop later in the month, your gift may well turn up in the returned section December 26! Try and wrap up contracts, legal matters, yearend business of greatest importance, and plan to take a break early in the month-at least early in terms of your affairs running smoothly. Ideally, this year, the planets are calling for the last three weeks of the year spent in reflection and reevaluation of what our greatest priorities are, including our business priorities.

From December 9-13 Mercury is stationary retrograde at 5 degrees of Capricorn, and astrologer/Author Carol Rushman writes, “ while the mental process may be slower and more deliberate, good decisions are made due to caution and much soul-searching. There can be a tendency toward negativity and depression at this time. Organization and planning can be done in an effective manner. Thoughts of career and work opportunities can consume you.”

Mercurial energy will change however, on December 19-January 13, 2011, as Mercury enters Sagittarius and goes direct at 19 degrees on the 30th. Author Rushman states, “The mind may turn to spiritual matters. Fervor, idealism and optimism can manifest. Thoughts of travel to far off places may consume you. There may be a strong need to communicate your ideas with Mercury stationing in Sagittarius, and there is also an inclination to exaggerate and elaborate on your ideas.”

Mercury does not return to full steam ahead until it reaches the degree at which it turned retrograde, 5 degrees in Capricorn. We do not get back to this degree until January 18, which is the perfect time to initiate your new business endeavors and matters of priority, and move forward full steam ahead for 2011.

The History of Jack...

The Jack-o-lantern tradition started in Ireland several hundred years ago. As the story goes, there was a character named Jack or Stingy Jack as he was called. Stingy Jack was a thief and a drunk who like to torment people by playing malicious tricks on everyone. Tis said, Jack even tricked the devil into promising that he would not take his soul when he died. However, when Jack did pass on, he was denied entrance to heaven because of the mean tricks he had played and since the devil wouldn't take him either, he was trapped in the void in between.

The devil commanded Jack to leave his gates and tossed an ember from the fire at the spirit to light his way. Jack placed the ember in a hollowed out turnip (his favorite food when he was alive) and begin to wander the earth looking for a resting place. With the lantern held in front of him he became known as Jack of the Lantern. After that on all Hallow's eve, the Irish would carve out turnips and place a candle inside to ward off evil spirits. When the Irish came to the US they brought the tradition with them. However, pumpkins were easier to come by than turnips and much easier to carve. Happy Pumpkins to you!

Blessings for Samhain and All Hallows

The true origins of Halloween lie with the ancient Celtic tribes who lived in Ireland, Scotland, Wales and Brittany. For the Celts, November 1st marked the beginning of a New Year cycle and the coming of winter. The night before the New Year, they celebrated the festival of Samhain, pronounced Sah-won, the Lord of the Dead on All Hallows Eve. In pagan mythology this is the night that marks the death of the Sun God as well as his simultaneous conception in the dark womb of Mother Earth. As the Sun God dies he makes preparation for his rebirth at the Yule celebrations where he will be found beneath the fir tree. Samhain celebrates the circle of life and the knowing that from death comes life as the circle continues not only in the earth and planting seasons but in our own personal lives as we prepare for the new year cycle.

During this festival, Celts believed the souls of the dead returned to mingle with the living. On the eve of Samhain, a veil between the worlds parts, allowing communion with ancestors and the spirit world. Families would leave their doors open and set tables with meals for the dead who return to visit. The purpose of this feast is to remember all those who have crossed to the other side and the love we shared with them. I always set a place for them at the table and cook a special dish that might have been their favorite. I put some food on a plate that put in the special setting I have set for them. We fill the mealtime with memories of them and talk about them, remembering the love and memories we shared with them. Upon the meal’s completion, traditional Celtic custom says to then place the ‘ancestor’ plate and cup outside so the wandering spirits can find it.

The element associated with Autumn is water, which is attached to our emotions and feelings. It is a time of letting go and releasing the things and situations that affected us negatively and caused us pain, and assimilating the spiritual growth that certainly came from those experiences. It is a time of leaving the things behind that no longer serve us on our journey to our soul’s perfection and being open to the new things we will attract for the same reason. As the year officially draws to a close and we mark the beginning of the New Year, it is a good time to let go of the old and make ready to embrace the new and all that the new year will bring. Is it new love? Is it new job or career? Will your relationship deepen and go to the next level? Are you embarking upon a personal journey of spiritual growth and development and need guidance? What lies in store for you in the new cycle of the year? Write a list of things you wish to bring into your life as well as a list of things you are releasing from your life. And let it so be.

End of Summer 2010-Still a Bumpy Ride!

Scientists are now reporting existence of a 22 mile underwater plume somewhere in the Gulf of Mexico that is deadly to sea life. BP has been putting distance between themselves and the Gulf disaster for weeks now. It is questionable if they will live up to their promises to make the Gulf area whole again. I believe not only is it questionable, it is absolute they will do as little as possible to avoid spending more money on the ‘little people,’ whose lives have been wiped out as a result of the largest marine disaster American’s have known. It has been reported for some time, BP has been ‘buying up,’ scientists who study and work with oil related disasters and forcing them to sign contracts agreeing to NOT reveal their findings to the public. The Gulf disaster had not gone away and we will be dealing with the ramifications for generations.

Another question that has arisen is the safety of the dispersants used in getting rid of the oil in the Gulf. I have seen reports that claim the chemical toxicants BP used are dangerous to sea life and to humans, and that the chemicals have found their way into the food chain. Last night I picked up a frozen package of shrimp at the grocery store. The first thing I noticed was the price that was probably up 30%. The package was almost half the size it used to be. Two strikes. Then I noticed the packaging- “Gulf Shrimp.” I had to think a few minutes. Buying it would help the fisherman, I like shrimp, and what the heck. Then I thought about the chemical dispersants and the reports from credible agencies about our food chain being altered. I put it back in the freezer. I would like to buy American products and help the Gulf and the fishermen. The Government says the food is safe. The Government also backed BP when they said the well was only pumping out 5,000 gallons of toxic oil a day into our oceans. BP is buying up scientists and ‘judge shopping,’ for future trials that will involve criminal offenses. Enough Said.

We have made it through the cosmic square, or the T-Square that we astrologers have been writing about for some time now. Officially—Uranus has moved back into Pisces for 7 more months, changing the energy again, and giving us one last chance to understand the lessons of Uranus in the sign that rules the twelfth house of the zodiac. The twelfth house is the unknown, secrets and matters that are hidden from view, and the unconscious. Pisces is the ruler of spirituality, creativity, psychic abilities, drugs and alcohol, the seamy side of life, prostitutes and preachers. It is a complex planet, and it rules water—The oceans are being polluted, and a large part of Pakistan is flooded and headed for a major humanitarian crisis. China is still under mudslides even though you have to look for the news about that situation. If the US can’t clean up a major oil spill, does anyone believe China can? And where is the news of that situation? It is all about water and as Pisces ends its 15 year cycle in this sign it will bring further issues involving water to the forefront. It will take some time to completely assimilate the changes that have occurred under this major astrological configuration. Many well known astrologers called for global disasters during this time that would affect the earth. We have seen the Gulf oil spill, the China Oil spill, The Michigan oil spill, flooding of Pakistan, Mudslilides in China, fires in Russia and the decimation of Haiti. Next spring the same square between Saturn, Pluto and Uranus will return. It is not being written about the planets are not as close to each other as the last one was. It is a mistake to ignore however, as the planets do not have to be exact with each other for major events to occur.

But, Saturn and Pluto are still squaring each other, and the energy of this square will continue into next month. Saturn in Libra and Pluto in Capricorn deals with issues connected to the earth, business, partnerships among people and entities, the government and banking. It is harsh energy and has the potential to spark nuclear incidents, power struggles and military incidents. It also deals with issues connected to crime and to sex. It affects our personal lives as well and issues in relationships, especially sexual ones. If your relationship has been limping along this energy may force it over the edge or bring issues out into the open that may have been there for some time.

Why Isn't HE Calling Me? What do you Do?

Communication is key to any relationship and without it the relationship can suffer considerably. There are times, however, when there are breakdowns in communication, where the reasons given seem reasonable…and times when they are not. You meet, things rock and roll, and everything seems to be flowing toward taking a boat ride in the tunnel of love. You talk every night before going to bed, you text off and on throughout the day, you leave “love” comments on Facebook and Twitter and then one day, the bottom falls out of your world because he did not text you, call you or comment you back.

So many clients call me to ask when “BOB” will call since they have not heard from him for XX weeks. We can certainly look at when he is going to call, but I think the real issue at hand is to uncover why he is not calling. Is there a problem in the relationship, has he pulled back or is he simply ‘away in no man’s land’ for a while? Sometimes he truly does have something else to focus on and men, for the most part, believe it or not, can multi-task as effectively as women. It is just not happening. However, what you do and how you do it will define how your relationship progresses… or not. So please think very carefully before you act.

So what do you do when he goes into hibernation mode? Do you call him, text him, show up at his house asking him what is wrong? Is he mad at you? How can you help? NO! Leave him alone. Don’t pry, don’t try to get him to open up and don’t try to help him fix anything because it will just cause him to retreat further. And please don’t use this as the time to talk about the relationship to get your own validation about where things are headed with the two of you. Go and do something else for a while. Exercise. Read a Book. Hell, write a book. Do a craft project. Anything…just keep your mind from focusing, thinking, and obsessing about him.

When our significant other, or someone we are dating, pulls back from us it can fire off all of our insecurities, but now is time to focus on yourself. Spending your evenings stalking him on Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, driving by his house, etc., is not going to give you any answers, even though you think they might. The answers are only “half” answers anyway. Do you really have nothing better to do with your time? Invest this time in yourself. You deserve it and you are worth it. Watch a chick flick. Or if you are like me, a horror flick. Learn to crochet. Take some online courses. Develop yourself. YourSELF.

So many times clients call me and ask, “But doesn’t he realize he is going to lose me if he doesn’t call me? Doesn’t he miss me? Doesn’t he realize it has been 3 days, 24 hours and 2 minutes since we saw each other?” Honestly, he does not. Whatever it is, whatever he is going through, analyzing, thinking about, tinkering with or working through has his head in a vise grip. Yes, he is being selfish. Yes, he is being self absorbed, but you know what? You should be too!

Most of the time, after the pull back period, your guy will come forward again. Nine times out of ten he was recharging, refreshing, renewing while he was in his “man cave” doing his “‘man thing” which often involves male bonding and quite possibly some bodily functions we don’t want to discuss. When he comes back around he might try to pick it up right where he left off, as if no time has passed because in his mind, which is ruled by man-time, no time has. Sometimes he will give you an explanation, but I would hesitate in demanding an explanation from him.

Try mirroring his behavior. Be the reflective goddess, and please don’t give more to him than he is giving to you as it will throw the relationship further out of balance. Use this time rather to focus on your own dreams, inspirations and personal growth.

It's All About Love and Money!

Venus entered Libra on Sunday, and conjuncted Saturn, which is opposing Uranus and squaring Pluto, setting off the grand square that is occurring at this time. This is a very difficult planetary configuration, as all the outer planets are close to the cardinal and world axis. This impacts the world; but if you are a cardinal sign - Aries, Libra, Cancer or Capricorn you will definitely feel the effects of this grand cross all the more. All these planets are competing with each other at the moment.. Jupiter - representing expansion, Uranus representing upheaval and unexpected events, Mars representing our ambitions, Saturn forcing us to feel confined and restricted, Venus focusing on money and love, and Pluto which forces us to change This is a call for all of us to make positive changes, as this planetary alignment will wake us up and force us to eliminate and change negative aspects of our lives that we have ignored. We want to change but Saturn is keeping us stuck.

The transit continues today into tomorrow, and will bring up issues from the past in relationships. The Planets of Love Enter the Signs of Relationships

August 2010- The Summer of Our Discontent-Oil-Immigration-Threats, Raised Voices and Broken Governments

We end the month of July with the volatile God of War (Mars) opposing Uranus/conjunct Saturn, and this explosive and repressive energy continues to stir up havoc and create unexpected situations around the world and in our personal charts through the first few days of August. Mars/Saturn transits generally refer to some type of police or military situation and we are at risk of explosive incidents popping up without warning. It is a dangerous aspect and Mars is ‘setting off,’ the T-square in the sky between Uranus, the planet of unexpected twists and turns and rebellions, Saturn, the taskmaster and Pluto, the God of the Underworld, the planet of vengeance and the harbinger of ultimate transformation.

Take stock of your situation and use caution and prudence wherever you are. We are officially living in the time astrologers have been talking and speculating about for a long time, and will be seeing events leading to change in the world around us. It will not be a smooth ride. That said, this configuration will cause the greatest stress for those who have personal planets that are being aspected, or those born in the early degrees of Cancer, Capricorn, Aries and Libra. If your chart is not being aspected life may well go along without major life altering upheaval, but there will be stress in some areas.

Meanwhile, one network news show is asking if BP critics have gone too far in their assessment of actual damage done. It is no wonder some are confused and complacent. Speaking of damaging the planet, what about the oil spill in China? Based on news reports the size of that spill exceeds or is equal to the Gulf Oil spill. The way we treat the earth will continue to come into focus.

Being asleep at the wheel however, plays right into the hands of entities-both corporate and government-who would have us not know what is really going on. Astrologically, this is symbolized by Neptune, the planet of illusion, confusion and delusion, conjunct the moon of America’s chart. It will cross the moon and move into Pisces in April of 2011, and at that time the powers to be will no longer be dealing with a sleeping public.

Jupiter, the planet of money, gain and benevolence is retrograde and square Pluto until August 9. This transit relates to changes/struggles within politics, governments, foreign people, laws, the financial world, and it is associated with power plays in promoting philosophic/religious beliefs. It creates attitudes of arrogance, impatience and neglecting the small but important details, and relates to the desire to reform others while neglecting matters of primary importance. Large enterprises can be undertaken without laying the correct groundwork for success. The government(s) will have issue with oil companies. Arizona will continue to have issues with their immigration law and the federal mandate recently handed down.

On August 9-22 Jupiter opposes Saturn-This is a transit of trouble/frustration within governments and retraction, as opposed to expansion, in the financial world and markets. Second quarter figures have been released and the economy slowed down to 2.4% growth, the weakest in a year. The Democrats and Republicans are hopelessly at odds over issues. The transit represents poor timing in business and professional affairs, financial crisis and an increase in bankruptcy and foreclosures, issues with laws and the law, a lack of balance between radical and conservative attitudes. There is confusion over ethical/moral/religious issues and issues relating to laws and obstacles are caused by overly conservative, uncompromising attitudes.

August 3^rd and 4^th –Mars/ Jupiter squares Pluto-This is a transit of upheaval, friction, and anger, and power struggles in political and military or police affairs. It may involve foreign people, religion, educational, medical, financial entities. Impulsive action is the norm, power struggles and the need for regeneration in situations in the world and individually. News of criminal activities, conflict over financial and corporate matters, and there may be news of sexual violence or jealousies.

Venus enters Libra, the sign of relationships and partnerships on August 6 and for the next 3 days until August 9, conjuncts Saturn and opposes Uranus. –This is a transit of swings and unexpected gains or losses in the financial markets. Venus rules money, love and values and well as women, attractiveness and beauty. Venus conjunct Saturn is will cement a situation or turn it cold and the two planets do not fit well together. Add Uranus to the mix and we have a period of instability in the financial world and issues concerning women. If you meet someone new, do not assume it will be lasting until the test of time proves it so. Venus-Uranus creates interesting but unstable relationships. Difficult and unstable relationships may end at this time.

August 9-Venus opposes Jupiter- This transit produces overextension, over optimism and creates feeling of inertia, and over indulgence. Feelings toward others will improve and become warmer.

August 10- New Moon is at 17 degrees of Leo, the natural ruler of the fifth house of children, entertainment and love affairs. Events and situations will occur on a grand scale and the theme of Leo is often drama. Venus is still within one degree of conjuncting Saturn and opposing Jupiter and Uranus, so while some fun may be in the air, relationship situations will not necessarily go smoothly. Bad situations may end altogether, even though it is a new moon, or relationships may move on to another level. Money matters are still in focus.

August 11-Venus squares Pluto-Negative financial news is possible as well as news about women, violence and sex. Produces feelings of intensity and potential jealousy in relationships.

August 15-Uranus retrogrades back into Pisces at 29 degrees for the next 7 months until March of 2011. The T-Square involving 4 planets is no longer exact, but the energy is still intense for a while and capable of producing upheaval. It will re-enter Aries on March 13, 2011 until March 9, 2019. The last time Uranus was in Aries was April 1927-March of 1935. Uranus cycles are 7 years.

Saturn Enters Libra = Change is Upon us!

The planet of delays, restriction and structure enters the sign ruling relationships and partnerships for a two year stay until October 7, 2012. Saturn is leaving Virgo, the sign ruling work, the earth, health and healthcare for 30 years. Those born under the Sun Sign Virgo can breathe easier as Saturn leaves their first house, easing up the restriction and responsibilities as it transits into Libra. Now Virgo’s will be able to see the results of all their labor over the past two and a half years.

For the next two years Libra’s can expect more responsibility, and to work harder to achieve what they want, but the possibilities for great achievement are there. Jupiter retrogrades on July 23^rd, and then squares Pluto the next day. When Pluto squares Saturn, the stock markets go down. There are very few bullish signals, although a good trader could cherry-pick and find some strong investments opportunities. Any of the major issues we have been watching, including the Gulf, the financial markets, the governmental infighting, to name a few, could be blown out of proportion now with the combination of transits.

Remember, Jupiter does not always bring you good things. Usually it brings you more – of anything. For example: All of the major issues we have been discussing are precariously perched on the side of an historic precipice. Our financial markets, the Gulf catastrophe, the recent insane Supreme Court decisions on election finances, gun control, etc. are all leading up to an internal power struggle the likes of which this country has only seen a few times.

As we approach the changes that will be necessary to truly enter the Aquarian Age, the collective works in unconscious ways to further that event, including breaking down any situations, businesses or governments that are preventing that transition. We will see the reversal of power in a number of situations throughout the world, as we did in 1965-7, the last time Saturn opposes Uranus. This will set off a number of nation’s charts as well as that of some national leaders. Mr. Obama has Venus at one and a half degrees Cancer. This won’t pass without affecting his life severely.

JULY - AUGUST 2010 - THE MOMENT OF TRUTH!

July 2010 is a month of change in the world, and the way we live on planet Earth, but it will not be without turmoil, upheaval and unexpected events on the world stage that will affect our lives.

The June 26 lunar eclipse in Capricorn conjuncted Pluto making it an intense time with a multitude of events. Capricorn relates to the Earth, and the world saw massive flooding in Brazil leaving hundreds dead and many more homeless and injured. Tornadoes and hurricanes appeared in parts of the world that are normally free of such events and the BP oil spill continued and still continues to take its toll on humanity and all life in its path. Events will be further complicated by rough seas and the hurricane, ‘Alex,’ as it makes landfall. Pluto is known as the ‘God of the Underworld’, and can relate to crime and underworld figures and within hours of the eclipse 10 alleged Russian spies were arrested by American Intelligence agencies, and the head of the Afghanistan war left his post under fire.

At this time we will be forced to look at new ways of doing things both individually and as a collective. Nowhere is it more apparent that we must find new ways of caring for the earth, than the oil spill in the Gulf. I do not expect the spill to be contained any time in the near future and as all life in the sea (and human ways of life) continues to be wiped out, public outrage will increase. This is signified by Uranus entering Aries-the sign of the individual. Aries is ruled by Mars, the God of War, and in another time the collective might have ‘taken up arms,’ against BP. It is not out of the realm of possibility that individuals will ‘take up arms,’ and rebel against governments around the world that are no longer working for the people. Jupiter is in Aries as well, and whatever Jupiter touches it expands. We will see breakthroughs in science and technology, but Aries is ruled by Mars, the God of War and we are at risk of explosions, fires and unexpected outbreaks of war and violence throughout the summer.

The solar eclipse on July 11 is the companion eclipse to the previous one in Capricorn. Eclipses come in pairs, and we continue to experience eclipses in Capricorn/Cancer until next summer. Eclipses serve as guideposts showing us the direction and theme of events we will encounter for some time to come. Capricorn is the natural ruler of the tenth house of business, priorities and reputation and rules the Earth, business, banking, mining and the financial markets. Cancer is the natural ruler of the fourth house, the foundation, the home and the homeland and is called, ‘the end of the matter.’ Clearly, these eclipses deal with the end of an old way of life, and it is up to us to discover and invent new ways of life.

The New Moon/ solar eclipse is at 19 degrees of Cancer on July 11, 2010 at 3:40 PM EST. Cancer is an emotional sign and ruler of the home and homeland. It’s ruler is the moon, the luminary body that changes every 24 hours. The US is a Cancer country and we will be dealing with events that affect the fourth-tenth houses. In other words, our home/homeland and priorities. Mercury trines Jupiter giving the day potential for upbeat communication in general and communication regarding the government (s). But, Venus is conjunct Saturn in a parallel (similar to a conjunction where the two planets are together at the same degree) creating a somber mood. Author/Astrologer Celeste Teal calls this eclipse, ‘Victory Over Obstacles,’ and states, ‘Cancer eclipse spotlights interests relating to domestic issues, homes land and the crops. Eclipse falls in degree of fixed star Castor: of a wicked influence; associated with decapitation, fevers, rape and murder. For the USA eclipse brings emphasis to foreign affairs, long distance travel, higher education, publishing and religion. There is practical problem solving. Financial stress present with delay of new opportunity for expansion and growth. Banks and markets subject to fluctuation. Unusual trends in pursuit of pleasure, romance and entertainment; restrictions apply. New educational programs are costly. This eclipse is of emphasis to the White House, the UK, Vatican City, Los Angeles, Manhattan, NYC and Roswell, NM.” Those signs most affected by the eclipse will be Cancer, Capricorn, Aries and Libra, or those who have personal planets in a sign being aspected by the new moon.

Of course, the most important event in July and the entire year is Saturn’s entrance into Libra on July 22. It will remain in the sign ruling laws, governments, relationships and partnerships of all types until October of 2012. Saturn gives us structure and stability, but not without restrictions delays and hardships. Any gain through Saturn is earned, not given.

As Saturn enters Libra it opposes Uranus and Jupiter at 0 and three degrees of Aries, respectively. It creates a square to Pluto at 3 degrees of Capricorn and forms a configuration known as a T-square. This is a complex astrological pattern that does not occur often, and is a harbinger of change, disruption and unexpected events in the world. We can expect to see change in terms of governments and partnerships among nations, laws and business, the financial markets and unexpected situations will occur in the US and around the world. There will be struggles over laws, partnerships, individuals and corporations, and the potential for additional Earth changes/events. If the Gulf Oil spill has not been stopped it will reach a critical mass. This aspect will be present until mid-August, and it does not have to be exact for events to occur.

The last time this configuration occurred was in 1930. Three months after the Stock Market crash of 1929, Pluto was in Cancer, Saturn was in Capricorn and Uranus was in Aries, as it is today. The transit occurred again in 1932. During that year there was a massive famine in the Ukraine and four million people starved to death between winter of 1932 and summer of 1933, and of course it was the decade of the Great Depression that lead up to the events of WW11. We are at risk of food shortages globally.

Welcome to Summer 2010. Monday, June 21, marked the Summer solstice and the beginning of the Sun’s 29 day trek through the fourth sign of the zodiac, Cancer. This week is possibly one of the most astrologically significant of the year as it is the prelude to the summer eclipses. This week’s full moon/lunar eclipse is at 4 degrees of Capricorn, occurring on June 26. The new moon/solar eclipse is at 21 degrees of Cancer, and occurs on July 11.

Capricorn/Cancer are cardinal signs and the natural rulers of the 4^th and 10 houses of the zodiac, the houses representing business and priorities, the home and foundation and the homeland.

The full moon/eclipse is conjunct Pluto. Pluto is the planet of vengeance, ruling control and the dark and hidden undercurrents of life. This will create intensity within everything we do. Nothing will be surface level, and previously unknown events will begin to unfold.

The eclipse sets off the cardinal T-Square astrologers have been writing about for some time now. When Saturn re-enters Libra on July 22 it will oppose Uranus, the planet of unexpected events, and Pluto will square Saturn and Uranus (a square is a 90 degree angle representing struggles) in an astrological formation known as a T-Square. It will be a busy week on the world stage and in our lives. As we approach the end of the week, the flowing planetary configurations are occurring:

June 21-23 The Sun enters Cancer squaring Uranus at 0 degrees of Aries. This transit precedes the eclipse and holds the potential for unexpected events of a shocking, explosive nature. Uranus is the planet of revolution, change, and rules weather, airplanes, electricity and revolutions. It is an unpredictable energy that can go in many different directions.

The full moon lunar eclipse this month occurs on June 26, 7:30 AM, EST at 4 degrees of Capricorn. Capricorn is the natural ruler of the tenth house of business and priorities, and things related to the earth. Its ruler is Saturn, the planet of structure and stability. Numerous other planets are playing a role in this eclipse making it worthy of our attention, interest and caution. The full moon is conjunct Pluto, the planet known as ‘The God of the Underworld.’ Pluto rules oil, power struggles, control and the dark and hidden undercurrents as well as events and situations that are previously hidden. We may be certain the media will play a role in events that transpire. There will be a focus on health, transportation and communications. Discontent will permeate society, and there is a theme of obsession, conspiracies, coercive tactics and danger.

The Moon/Pluto conjunction opposes the Sun and Mercury, and squares Jupiter and Uranus. The potential exists for security around the world to be undermined and we may see events related to the earth itself, accidents, and situations that threaten stability and planet Earth.

Eclipse events begin to unfold long before the minute the actual eclipse occurs, and the energy of an eclipse can last for months, even years. There are a number of transits leading up to this eclipse that will make the second half of June a wild ride, to say the least. Expect to see a continuation of news relating to the Gulf oil spill. The American people and the world have not been told the truth about the ramifications of this situation and as long as the oil continues to flow into our oceans, the continent and all life dependent upon the sea will continue to die, not to mention the people in the Gulf area who make their living in fishing, tourism, the food industry and real estate to name only a few. Furthermore, we are coming into hurricane season and are at risk of ‘black rain,’ should a hurricane move through the area of the oil spill. The ramifications of a scenario like this are beyond comprehension.

As long as CEO Tony Hayward and BP’s current management team remain in charge of the oil spill the American continent and the world are at risk. They are proven liars whose only bottom line involves a dollar, and avoidance of responsibility. US lawmakers and Congress has failed to act as well, allowing offshore drilling without proper safety devices in place, to shut off an oil pipeline under catastrophic circumstances such as we are facing. It didn’t have to unfold this way.

Neptune is conjunct the moon of America’s chart. This means that American’s are ‘asleep at the wheel,’ and are, and have been lied to. In time, people will become aware the problems that exist will not fix themselves.

The world recession/depression is not over, and we have miles to go before we sleep, so to speak, but on June 8 an unusual occurrence begins when Jupiter enters Aries, the first sign of the zodiac and conjuncts Uranus. The typical manifestation of Jupiter and Uranus is money and/or opportunity.

If this combination aspects personal planets in your chart in the 1-5 degree range in a soft angle, this transit should bring some form of additional money/opportunity. A while back, I was reading some material written by a fine astrologer who stated that he hoped Pluto entering Capricorn (Pluto entered Capricorn in January of 2008 for 15 years) didn’t relate to the corporate giants of the world becoming the new ‘Gods.” Pluto is the ultimate planet of transformation, welding the power for total destruction and Capricorn is the natural ruler of the tenth house of business and the sign ruling the earth itself. Whatever Pluto touches, it transforms, whether it be in the world or our personal charts. It rules oil, plutonium, and situations relating to the hidden, darker side of life. In the past month and a half we have watched a power struggle play out on the world stage in the form of BP attempting to control the oil spill in the Gulf, a situation that is now out of control. BP has lied at every possible turn, and based on past performance will continue to do so. So much for the new ‘Gods.”

Uranus entered Aries May 28, and we can already see the results of the square between Pluto and Uranus. Pluto wants control and Uranus is prepared to change the status quo. Uranus at the 0 degree point of Aries relates to the world at large, and will be joined by Jupiter on June 8. Jupiter rules governments, money, and expansion and Jupiter and Uranus together are going to create a clash with Pluto. Governments will intervene in the oil spill, be it the US or other governments. We can only hope it is not too little, too late for our oceans and the life within. CNN is reporting the US Attorney General has launched a criminal investigation into the BP oil spill.

The clash of Uranus and Pluto will encompass many factors. Governments/people verses the large corporate entities will be one piece of the pie, but only one piece. I have always said when this transit occurs; there will be people who will make their voices heard. The shouting at BP is getting louder by the day.

On Wednesday June 2, Neptune, the planet of illusion, confusion and delusion goes retrograde. Neptune also rules creativity and spirituality, and will be retrograde until November 7, when it turns direct at 25 degrees of Aquarius. This is a time when there may be a lack of boundaries, and logic is set aside in favor of intuition. Creativity/spirituality and compassion can be at a high. We are more subject to failing to look at the reality of a situation both personally and collectively. Typically Uranus and Jupiter together represent money, and if you believe the financial news reports we are coming out of the recession. Uranus enters the 0 degree point of Aries on May 28, 2010 for the first two and a half months of a seven year stay in that sign that will change our lives and change the world. May 28, 2010 marks the entrance of Uranus into Aries and a continuation of transits that will bring about upheaval, change and transformation, and the beginning of a new world. This is the time period astrologers have been looking at for decades, and these transits will lead us into 2012, the time the Mayan calendar ends. Uranus entering Aries creates a major shift in planetary energies as the planet of thunder, lightening, electricity, freedom and sudden, unexpected events moves to the 0 point of Aries, a cardinal sign, at a critical degree that relates to the world at large. Saturn opposing Uranus in Virgo/Pisces will continue to create volatile, violent, unexpected, and stressful conditions in the world that will relate to situations affecting the earth itself such as the earthquakes and volcanoes we have seen in recent weeks, and a new factor is now added into the mix that includes water and oil. The Gulf oil cleanup will be massive, hidden factors are involved, and no one will want to fully take the blame. Today, May 5, violent protests are occurring in Greece due to spending cuts in a country that is in serious financial trouble. The volcanic ash cloud has re-appeared in Europe shutting down airports in several countries again. Virgo relates to the earth, oil, banking, healthcare and jobs. Thinking is slow and deliberate, and decisions reached during this period are often irrevocable.

Mercury Retrograde - The Winged God Stands Still

Mercury, the planet of communication is stationary retrograde at this time, at 12 degrees of Taurus, which means events and situations that will be affected by the retrograde will become pronounced now, as well as when it turns stationary direct. It officially retrogrades on Sunday, April 18. Mercury will remain retrograde until May 11, when it goes stationary direct at 2 degrees of Taurus. When Mercury is stationary retrograde in Taurus the mental process is slow and prodding.

According to Author/Astrologer Carol Rushman, when Mercury stations in Taurus” decision making can be hesitant and painful. However, once a stand is taken or a decision made Mercury stationing in Taurus can be extremely rigid, fixed and resistant to change.” It is best not to purchase high ticket items on retrograde Mercury, get married, make important decisions or start new projects.

Events and situations will be exposed that you are unaware of. Look for delays and difficulties with equipment and communication and meetings. Your mind may not be as clear as normal and forgetfulness can be a problem. New relationships that begin at this time may or may not continue after Mercury goes direct in May, and will have to withstand the test of time to know if it is a viable situation for you.

Relationships begun under a retrograde often fade out when the planet goes direct. Saturn's Last Retro Ride through Virgo!

Saturn, the planet of restriction and structure retrogrades back into Virgo, for a final four month stay on Thursday, April 8-July 22 It will not return to the sign of Virgo for another 30 years. During Saturn's final swing through Virgo we will be dealing with many issues both individually and collectively. All planetary cycles are cyclical, and Saturn was last in the sign of Virgo November of 1977-September of 1980. If you are old enough to remember this time, you remember gas embargos, inflation, stress, high interest rates, unemployment, recession and war in Afghanistan. Does this sound familiar?

Collectively, we will experience issues dealing with the earth and land itself. It is no surprise we have seen two coal mine accidents within the last 72 hours, both in the US and China. Nor is it a surprise at least two earthquakes have been reported within the past 72 hours, as well as an upsurge in suicide bombings in Afghanistan, Iraq and Pakistan.

Saturn in Virgo is in its final opposition to Uranus, the planet of sudden unexpected, sometimes explosive incidents. Virgo relates not only to the earth and matters connected with the earth that include including mining, it relates to the banking system as well. As long as this opposition is in effect, we will be subject to incidents that relate to land and natural disasters, issues and change regarding mining, drilling for oil, and the banking and financial markets. Virgo also rules health related issues and healthcare. As the planetary transit is an opposition, there will continue to me opposition from those who do not support to the recent healthcare reform bill. Jobs, or lack thereof, will be a focus as well.

The opposition creates harsh energy on many fronts. Uranus wants change, and Saturn wants things to stay the way they are. The end result is that change will occur as a result of the stress. In many areas change is needed in the US. The recent coal mining disaster points to the fact that an estimated 50,000 people make their living going into mines that may not always be safe. One surviving miner stated that no mine is safe, as the companies that own the mines help create the laws that govern them. The US has faced an energy crisis for several years now, and this winter heating bills skyrocketed at a time when many people were hurting financially. President Obama is determined to open up oil drilling in several states, and is pushing his agenda for ‘green’ fuel. We must make changes at this time, or face the consequences.

The transit affects us globally. More banks may fail or not survive audits in the US and abroad. Some European countries are on the verge of bankruptcy including Portugal, Ireland, Italy, Spain and Greece, referred to as the ‘PIGS,’ in monetary circles, and face increasingly fragile financial circumstances. It is being reported that the wealthiest citizens of Greece are pulling their money out of banks and sending it abroad. This transit will test the mettle of what US banks have learned (and implemented) since the original bank bailout.

On a personal level, Saturn opposing Uranus will create stress and friction in our personal lives as well. On some level, everyone on the planet will experience trying circumstances, some more than others. Relationships and situations that have outlived their usefulness may well end at this time. You will be affected to a greater degree if the opposition is hitting personal planets or house cusps in your chart, especially in the signs of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini and Sagittarius in the 24-29 degree range or alternatively in the 1-3 degree range of these signs. The end result will be change in diet, health, work, or whatever area of your chart the opposition is occurring.

April is an action packed month as Saturn and Uranus once again oppose each other at an exact 180 degree angle for the fourth time, since Saturn entered Virgo. Saturn re-enters Virgo one last time April 8-July 21, 2010 before moving back into the sign of partnerships and relationships for the next two years. While Saturn is in Libra we will see many changes in our governments, laws, marriage, relationships and partnerships of all kinds, but first we will be contending with the powerful energy of the Saturn-Uranus opposition in Virgo.

Saturn moves back into Virgo on April 8 creating an opposition to Uranus within 2 degrees. The opposition becomes exact April 23-May 1, and is within 2 degrees of being exact until May 27. At that time Uranus moves into Aries, but that will be the subject of another newsletter. The opposition does not have to be exact to have a profound effect, and it can be ‘set off,’ with a much smaller planetary influence, meaning the energy of the opposition will bring change. Saturn represents that which is old, established and our sense of security and that which we are accustomed to. Uranus represents the future, the new, revolutionary sentiments and the two planets in an opposition form a clash that calls for change on very profound levels.

Understanding "free will" is a very hard concept for a lot of people who get psychic readings. A lot of times the reading in the moment is misunderstood as being "set in stone" so to speak. So when the reading does not transpire the way it was told in the beginning, the psychic of course gets the blame for not being able to read the situation or the person correctly.

Free will is a very interesting thing indeed. When a reader or a medium tunes into the question at hand, what they see is in the moment and the journey or path that shall be taken. Thus, the message is delivered. Now, the fun part comes when the person that just got the message or shall I say the client, now has choices to make. Also, they have to really trust and believe in what was told to them. Not only do they have that to consider ... if there is another person involved then that person too has the free will to pick and choose their own life path.

There are connections that are truly meant to be made between people and situations but due to fear, mistrust, not believing in one's self or the other person can change the journey of that connection in the blink of an eye. The poor client is left there scratching their head saying ... "uh what just happened"? That is NOT the way it was told to me!

Unfortunately people tend to look outside of the box and point the finger at someone else before they will point the finger at themselves and the thought process that they had just created. Interesting words ... Valentines day.

You can go off the historic meaning of it and the origin of it too but isn't it interesting what we all have created with this "special" day? Yes, the heart and the love of that special person is there and you want or wish for Valentines day to be that "perfect" day! What happens though is sometimes that so called "perfect" day gets filled with so many expectations that the day sometimes for many can fall short. Romance novels, soap operas and many other things create this "fantasy" of the perfect day. And yes, everyone can have this perfect day ... but just maybe, it might be in a special way that is not expected. Now I bet you are scratching your head thinking "huh"????? The Origins of Valentine's Day

When I was in the 'third grade' I attended my first Valentine's Day event. It was the first year that I was enrolled in school in the United States, after moving from England, and I remember having to take a shoebox to school. I soon learned we were decorate these shoe boxes with paint, construction paper and pink and red heart shaped doilies, after cutting a little slot in the top for our 'valentines'. We were instructed to make sure we had a card for everyone in the class, mine had Casper on them, I am sure of it, and on the anticipated day, we would all play postman as we walked around the class putting the cards into the decorated boxes. Then we would sit and open them, smiling at all of our 'truly yours' and 'be mines' while indulging in lard and sugar frosted cupcakes brought by the 'class Mom'.

To the masses, Valentine's Day evokes thoughts of chocolate, flowers, romance, cards, and cherubic angels shooting us with arrows. I also understand there are special diamonds, jewelry, lingerie and secret indulgences you can buy your 'valentine'….but when did all the madness, attributed to this day, begin? I don't know about the rest of you, but I started seeing Valentine's Day displays in the stores the day after they cleaned out most of the Christmas crap, thinking to myself "Hey don't throw that Christmas stuff out, we could use it for Valentine's Day, after all it is red and white..!" Come to think of it... St. Valentine does look an awful lot like St. Nicholas, but I digress.

Sadly today's society views Valentine's Day as more of an obligation ~ forced upon the masses as a whole, telling us we better recognize our 'sweetheart' with flowers and fluff or they will resent us for the rest of the year. I just saw something on MSN today '10 Days Left to make sure you are not in the Dog House'…or something to that effect. I mean, seriously folks, come one, when did it turn to this? I am not quite sure how it became such an obligation… or expectation …. but personally I blame it on Hallmark (the bastards!)

Valentine's Day originated from pagan customs of Ancient Rome in 300-400 B.C, where on February 14^th and 15^th the Romans celebrated Lupercalia. During this festival they practiced the ritual of the sacred sexual union, the Heiros Gamos, on February 14^th, to honor Juno Fructifier, Queen of the Roman gods and goddesses as well as goddess of marriage.

As part of this celebration, maiden's names in were placed in boxes, I am sure without the pink and red doilies. These "love notes" were called "billets." A young man would draw a name and the maiden was his sex partner for the coming year commencing in March until the next February celebration. The matches were primarily for the sexual union of the Hieros Gamos but it was not unusual for the pairings to end in marriage. The couples who were matched together would be considered partners for the coming year, commencing in March, and would last until the next February celebration.

On February 15^th, the Ides of February, the Romans celebrated Luperaclia, honoring Lupercal, the wolf god. Additionally they honored Faunus, god of fertility as well as Romulus and Remus, the founders of Rome who were as legend states, raised by a she-wolf. The Festival of Lupercalia involved priests and Vestal Virgins (don't care much for the priests but vestal virgins are cool). The Luperci priests would go to a grotto dedicated to Lupercal, the wolf god, located at the foot of Palatine Hill.

The men would sacrifice a goat, don its skin, and run, walk and dance around the Palatine Hill to purify it while whipping young maidens with a goat skinned thong called a "februa" ~ an act which was supposed to ensure fertility. The act of such lashings or whippings was known as februatio...both this word and the word februa come from the Latin meaning "to purify." The Romans believed that the middle or the 'ides' of the month was when that month's life force was at its peak which gave them an excuse to party and perform the sacred rite of sexual union with the added effect of purifying the women from curses, bad luck and infertility by flagellating them with the februa. Hmmmmmmmm, interesting! It is all starting to make sense now.

Regardless of its origins, today Valentine's Day is a highly over-commercialized western celebration. The Greeting Card Association estimates that some billion valentines are sent per year. If you are single on this day, remember it only lasts for 24-hours, and most of the people receiving Valentine's tokens, gifts or flowers from their 'loved ones' are doing so out of obligation, threats, and the over-commercialization of a day that Hallmark rakes in the $$$- cha-ching!!! I am sure that by this time next year we will all be decorating our V-Day Trees ~ with hearts, flowers and cupids ~ while sitting on St. Valentine's lap telling him what we want (or expect), fighting for the last box of chocolates or bunch of roses in the grocery store – knocking someone down in an effort to grab them out of their hands – all the while thinking LOVING thoughts.

Personally, I think Lupercalia sounds like more fun!

God is Not a Vending Machine

Many of us pray for a certain thing to happen. God I want a new car. God, I want a new job. God I want to be in a relationship with Suzy and I will do whatever it takes to have her. Some of us even bargain with God...I really want Billy to get back together with me and I promise I will be good and I will go to church every Sunday, just please let me have him back. When Billy does not come back, Sally assumes God has not answered her prayer.

NEWSFLASH!!! Perhaps the answer is “NO”. Perhaps that relationship, possession or job, is not in the best interest for the progression of your soul during its journey on the earthly plane. Perhaps your focus should be on something else.

I remember speaking with a woman once who told me she was mad at God because her boyfriend did not get a promotion although they had been praying daily that he would. I remember telling her something like this: Wow, where did your sense of entitlement come from? You know it is not ALL ABOUT YOU! God is sort of busy right now, a hurricane just hit New Orleans and thousands of people are dead or homeless...there is war in Iraq, people all over the world are starving, and you are upset because your boyfriend did not get a promotion? Several weeks later she emailed apologizing because the promotion and raise did come, it was just delayed. The point here is two fold. Sometimes the answer is ‘no’ but sometimes we have to wait. Sometimes things have to unfold according to the divine plan – the timing of the Universe.

The universe is not a game of chance. Things happen for a reason, and everything is somehow either a cause or effect of something else. There is such an incredible order to things that if we but can get the slightest glimpse of it, we will be in awe of it. This is what I have referred to previously as synchronicity, when we see the hand of God/dess working personally within each of our individual lives.
When we pray, we have to wait for a response. Sometimes we become so impatient that we repeat our prayers night after night, petitioning the same requests over and over. Guess what? God is not deaf. S/he heard you the first time. Once is enough. After you say your prayer, it is your job to sit back and wait. Yep. Patience. Let me spell that out again P A T I E N C E. This is kind of like hitting the elevator button over and over while you impatiently stand at the elevator doors. Even though the light is lit, you push it over and over, thinking it will make it come faster. What a waste of time, and finger energy – once is enough.

Today's society is so geared toward instant gratification, we want things and we want them now. Well, take a number and get in line because God is sorta busy right now. When we pray God/dess does hear our prayers. But we, as humans, must then step back from the desire and wanting (and asking) and allow things to unfold.

When we are constantly petitioning we can’t hear the answer. The answer often comes in the silence of meditation or mindfulness…in the silence, s/he whispers to us the answers that we seek….and we have but to recognize them. Prayer is when we speak to God ~~~ meditation and connecting to the divine source and waiting for the response, is when s/he answers. When we stop asking and start listening... we will hear that soft, still voice. Listen.

So many times we get calls from clients whose only question is WHEN. When will he call? When will we be married? When will he get a divorce? When will we get back together? When will he tell me he loves me?

Most of the time, unless you are asking WHEN is he going to call, the answer is not something similar to next Tuesday or within the next 3 weeks; the REAL answer to that question is WHEN he (or she) has figured out and learned their life lesson, which is ultimately based on some experience or revelation that individual must have before they are able to continue their journey with you.

That being said we will do what we can to provide timing prediction during your psychic reading, but very often, things must happen according to divine timing, which is pretty much set by God, the Goddess, your angels and spirit guides as well as the angels and spirit guides of those you are asking about. If things seem to be taking a while, it is because one or both of you are in the middle of a karmic life lesson that must be completed before anything can progress in your relationship. Sometimes I have even had a client ask when will their karmic life lesson be completed and while we will try to deliver that information to you, we may not be able to get it because it is between them and their soul.

Timing is a very delicate prediction in the psychic realm. We see and hear numbers, we can use the tarot to determine timing astrologically. For instance, many times I will tell a client that I see there relationship really starting to feel settled when the Sun is in Virgo (or Libra, Pisces – whatever time frame comes up during the reading). We are only able to predict the timing of future events if it comes up clearly during the psychic or tarot reading. When we are given a number, we have to interpret how it fits into to the prediction and reading we are giving.

Sometimes callers are so focused on the timing and time prediction they miss some other key aspects of their reading. During your psychic reading it is important to try and turn your focus to the final outcome as opposed to the timing of specific events. We have seen, time again, callers hold on to any timing prediction so strongly they inadvertently and accidentally create blockages to the prediction actually happening. When you want something so badly, you hold onto to it with such a death grip, you can actually push it further into the future, or in some cases strangle it off completely. We don’t want this to happen, and neither do you.

There have also been occurrences where a timing prediction has been given during the reading but the caller has acted impulsively which in essence, negates the timing prediction. The best way to describe this is by example. One day Betty calls for a reading because her and her boyfriend, Bob, have broken up, and she wants to know when they will be back together and when he will communicate with her. The timing that comes up during the reading is a 3, so the psychic interprets that as either 3 days or 3 weeks or even October 3^rd. Betty was feeling rather insecure and really wanting to put their relationship back together, decided to call Bob 3 days later. He was still not feeling like talking about their breakup or fixing the relationship and told her he would call when he was ready to talk. Due to Betty’s impulsiveness she broke down and called after 3 days because she was holding on so tight to the timing prediction she decided to create change, even if it was negative. Now, the timing prediction has been completely blown out the window and we would have to do another psychic reading to predict the next timing outcome for her.

Timing is not written in stone, actually no prediction is written in stone, because time is fluid…like water. There is no structure to it in the psychic or spirit realm, which is where we get our information during the psychic reading. Timing can and will change based on the decisions you make and the decisions and choices the person you are asking about makes during the course of your daily lives, just as Betty’s decision to call Bob created change in the timing prediction.

Albert Einstein concluded that time is relative and that the past, present, and future exist simultaneously. In other words, time is not linear, but we have created linear time (hours, days, weeks, months) so that it makes sense to our linear ways of thinking. We don’t want to argue with Einstein.

Full Moon in Leo - The Show Must Go On!

This month's full moon occurs on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 1;18 AM, EST at 10 degrees of Leo. Leo is the natural ruler of the fifth house of children, friends and love affairs, so it is within these areas in a general sense, we will experience much of the full moon energy. Leo is the sign of the showman (or woman) and the energy is dramatic and intense. It is time to experience the child within yourself! Just don't resort to childish actions or manipulations, and be aware that you could experience these types of behavior from others' around you during the peak hours of this full moon.

Full moon energy starts to occur days before the full moon becomes exact, and most astrologers use 3-4 days before and after in terms of timing for the events that will play out. On Wednesday, January 27, as we are coming into the full moon, Venus, the planet of love and money will oppose Mars at at 11 degrees of Aquarius.

This transit will involve shifts in the financial markets, and men and women may have opposing viewpoints. As a matter of fact, it may represent a clash between the two sexes. And speaking of sex, sexual energies may be heightened, but the energy is purely sexual in nature, as opposed to warm and loving. The attraction may be there, but it is up to you which way to direct the energy, and misunderstandings can occur on a number of fronts, especially in the realms of love and money.

Thursday, January 28, the Sun opposes Mars, creating an atmosphere prone to agitation, ego's out of control, and the potential for accidents, even violence on the world stage. The best way that I have found to deal with Mars is to let the energy pass; let a few hours or days go by and see how the difference of a day changes things. Usually the urge to express yourself at all costs changes, and the things that seemed important to say, often are not-- given 24 hours. No matter how you cut the pie, this volatile Mars energy is coming in on top of the full moon creating tension and agitation that must be acknowledged one way or another.

As the full moon is at 10 degrees of Leo, it is within 1 degree of being conjunct Mars at 9 degrees of Leo. This is a super-charged full moon with a lot of energy that must be used constructively in some way, as emotions and feelings will be running at an all time high. It has the potential, if the energy is not used constructively, of turning volatile and we will see this energy play out one way or another on the news.

Of course the most important transit that is occurring along with this full moon is the Saturn-Pluto square that is exact through the first 9 days of February,and remains within orb throughout this winter. This transit doesn't need anything more to set it off, but that is precisely what a full moon will do. Fortunately the full moon in Leo isn't squaring or opposing this configuration, but it will add a great deal more energy to it, nevertheless.

Saturn squaring Pluto creates situations involving a great deal of frustration in the business world, as well as relationships of all types. It creates delays and points out what our limitations are. I refer to it as a 'ruthless force, as the energy of Saturn and Pluto create an inability to move forward. it is dangerous and volatile and the world will be a better place when this square passes.

The energy will start to diminish and lighten up some after the first 9 days of February. But, the energy of this transit isn't gone until it's gone. The combination is so volatile individually and in the world, the last time we had a hard transit between Saturn and Pluto was in the days preceding 9-11.So, be careful, don't get too carried away with anything and use the energy to it's fullest potential.

I call it the 'ruthless force,' and it is the energy at work in our world. Saturn in Libra is squaring Pluto at 1 degree of Capricorn creating a dramatic effect in terms of power struggles, confrontations, oppressive forces and a buildup of explosive energy.

Saturn-Pluto is linked to nuclear energy, aggression, oil, and shortages. This transit also relates to the law, justice, financial institutions, and business in general.The last event that we can link to Saturn-Pluto energy was the period of 911, as Pluto in Sagittarius opposed Saturn in Gemini within 2 degrees.

The square from Saturn we are experiencing at this time is in the sign of Libra ruling the scales of justice, laws, and partnerships of all kinds. By now, it is clear the effects of Friday's upcoming solar eclipse at 25 degrees in Capricorn have already begun to play out astrologically, in the event of the recent devastation of Haiti, considered the most catastrophic event in that country's history. Capricorn is the ruler of matters connected to the earth, and usually by the time the actual eclipse occurs, events are already unfolding. This catastrophic event also relates to the fact that Saturn is squaring Pluto in Capricorn (ruler of the earth and oil) at this time, and will continue to do so through the end of February. The eclipse has merely set this square off. The Saturn-Pluto square is 'ruthless force,' at work in the world and our lives. The clash of these two planets will continue to create situations of total upheaval that will effect the world in terms of explosive situations, wars,nuclear energy and events connected to nuclear weapons, laws and justice and limited economic growth. Saturn and Pluto are exact in a square at 4 degrees from January 21-February 10. The two planets will begin to separate at the end of February, but will return in late July when Saturn will start it's complete journey though Libra again after retrograding into Virgo one final lime April-July.

When Saturn returns to Libra late July it will Square Pluto again, but will also be opposing Uranus. The will create a T-Square, or a clash between three major planets. Saturn, the planet of structure and discipline went retrograde Wednesday, January 13 for it's annual 4 month yearly retrograde. It is not lost that the disaster in Haiti occurred on the very day the 'taskmaster' started it's retrograde. During Saturn's retrograde the sign it is in is emphasized, and matters will need defining.. In this case, the sign Libra rules the 7th house of partners, partnerships, the law, governments and relationships. This includes 'world partnerships,' as well as marriages in may cases, and interpersonal relationships. Pluto squaring Saturn in Capricorn rules the earth, mining, oil, banks and banking, and business, and it is in these areas we will see frustration.

Mercury, the planet of communication went stationary direct on Wednesday the 13, and will remain stationary direct at that degree through the weekend. It goes direct on Friday, but don't expect matters to return to normal for a number of days. While Mercury is stationary retrograde at 5 degrees of Capricorn the mental process is slower and more deliberate, and decisions can may be made that become final. There can be, however,a tendency toward pessimism or negativity at this time that is not based on correct observations. At 5 degrees of Capricorn, Mercury is conjunct Pluto within 2 degrees and square Saturn at 4 degrees which will certainly encourage depression and negativity, but if the energy is used wisely we can use this time it for deep thinking and through decision making although I would wait a few days to implement decisions.

Individually Pluto-Mercury aspects tend toward negativity and depression, information that is revealed, secret information, and the search for answers, often not necessarily what we wish to hear, and in the world this configuration with Mercury will reveal the full extent of the damage of Wednesday's earthquake, and the results will be more staggering than anticipated. Accidents involving travel and transport will be likely, the media will take center stage and further news will be revealed that has been hidden to this point. Arguments will be abundant.

US President Barrrack Obama will feel the weight of responsibility and the world as Friday's eclipse falls dead on his 12th house Saturn, the planet of karma and responsibility. With his planetary configurations there is no doubt he feels the heaviness of the world situation and he faces the possibility of a death of someone in his intimate circle, and it is a dangerous time for the US President. Neptune is within days of opposing his Uranus in his 7th house of partner's and he is at risk of bad or faulty advise, and will be disappointed by those he considers partners. The US President's mettle will be tested in the coming days and weeks.

Jupiter enters Pisces on January 18, changing the direction of the planet of finance, wealth and good fortune. By the end of January the US may see some positive economic news, but don't expect this to mean the end of the recession is at hand. Pisces is ruled by Neptune and it is imperative that American's and those around the world do not assume the global financial situation is close to being solved. Neptune also rules spirituality and American's are by nature a generous people, and massive rescue efforts are being directed toward Haiti as this newsletter is written.

As the US Congress continues debate over changes in health care, a study was released within the past month recommending fewer mammograms and pap smears as well as beginning these types of cancer screenings at a later age. Not everyone agrees with these findings, including many in the medical community. The recommendations represent a major shift in screening for breast cancer, and The American Cancer Society, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the Susan G. Komen Foundation, and the American College of Radiology Breast Imaging Commission have all published statements on their web sites disagreeing with the new guidelines, and recommending that physicians and insurance companies continue to provide biennial mammograms for women between 40 and 49 and annual mammograms thereafter.

Furthermore, a 10 % tax is being discussed that would be placed on all plastic surgery deemed not necessary for medical reasons.

According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, 86 per cent of all plastic surgery is preformed on women, of which 60 % earn a household income of between $30-90,000. Most women and working women agree that there is societal pressure to maintain a youthful and attractive appearance, and few would disagree that age discrimination in the job place exists, particularly toward women.

The question that should be asked is, 'Are women actually the target of cuts and taxes in proposed Health Care Reform?'

Astrologically, the answer is Yes, unless radical changes occur, and women step up to the plate and prevent the powers that be from targeting these and other medical procedures.

This observation is based on the fact that Saturn is currently squaring Venus (at 3 degrees of Cancer) in America's chart, and will continue to do so through early winter of 2010. Pluto, the planet of transformation and change is opposing the Venus in America's chart throughout much of 2010, and will become exact on December 23, 2009-January 20, 2010, and again later in the year. These two planets represent a restrictive, force/clash that will effect women in America in a potentially adverse way.

In addition to the Saturn/Pluto/Venus energy that is occurring, Jupiter and Neptune will hook up in the form of a conjunction becoming exact on December 21. The combination of Jupiter and Neptune in Aquarius may represent something that appears to be of interest in a way that would relate to a type of 'world-view' but the combination does not necessarily lend itself to the truth. What appears to be positive, will likely indeed turn out to be untrue.

Next year, Neptune, the planet of illusion, delusion and confusion, will conjunct America's Moon (representing women) and I call this transit, 'asleep at the wheel.'

What to Expect First Quarter 2010

Mitchell Scott Lewis is a New York financial astrologer and one of my favorite authors, and has posted his observations regarding First quarter of 2010.

"Because of the Saturn – Pluto square that will be in orb through February, this winter will prove to be a time of slow and deliberate growth. Frustrating events and delays will abound, and basically we will be in a traffic jam until the spring. You have two choices when stuck on the L.I.E.: get upset and blow your horn, or listen to Mozart and enjoy the scenery.

Saturn retrogrades January 13th and heads back to the completion of the square to Pluto. Until Saturn goes direct at the end of May we can expect delays in many business projects. Saturn rules the banking industry, and Virgo is the sign of the auditor. When Saturn entered Virgo in September 2007 the banks were audited, and we discovered that they were standing on quicksand. As Saturn reenters Virgo there will be another auditing of the industry. Many more banks will fail this coming year. Estimates from Wall Street put the number somewhere in the 300 – 500 range. And with Saturn back in Virgo from April 8th – July 22nd 2010 we are going to see just how secure the business really is.

As with all aspects the Saturn – Pluto square works both ways. Saturn, planet of restrictions and constraint, will limit the growth of Pluto, ruler of trading markets. I expect the stocks to go sideways or moderately down for a while. I doubt we will see many big rallies or much more growth this winter. And Pluto, ruler of vengeance, hidden agendas and rejuvenation, will bring to light what is still being concealed by Saturn. Because this is a square, it will not be an easy revelation. Our banking system is shaky, and our currency is under attack. As we approach the “Great t-square” of July 2010 we may find our nation in a fight of domination, primarily with the Chinese. The coming months will be difficult and frustrating. Delays will abound and power struggles will go through the roof. Nothing will be easily decided, and things that should be more readily worked through will become bogged down in semantics and individual agendas. Can everyone say “Copenhagen?”

Jupiter conjuncts Neptune for the final time on Monday December 23rd. It will conjunct Uranus, a much different energy, this coming summer. This conjunction between Jupiter and Neptune has had a very large effect on our society. It is responsible for the current debates on healthcare reform; it is responsible for the outbreak and subsequent panic about the H1N1, or Swine Flu. It is also very much the underlying cause of a 50% increase in the stock markets since the bottom last year. It is completing for the last time, and many of these issues are coming to a head. Winter Solstice and Yule!

The Winter Solstice, or Yule, occurs on Monday, December 21^st at 9:43 am. Yule represents a turning point of the solar year as the days begin to get longer after this time of greatest darkness and the longest night of the year. Yule is a solar festival, celebrated with fire and decorating trees, giving gifts, burning a Yule log, harvesting mistletoe and hanging evergreen boughs. After feasting, the tree is lighted and the Yule log is burned. A portion of the Yule log is saved to be used in next years lighting of the Yule log. This piece of the Yule log is kept throughout the year to protect the home.

The seasons’ colors are red and green. Holly is used as decoration for this festival, originally named for the dark underground Crone-goddess Holle, or Hel, from whose womb the sun arose. The red berry symbolized the Goddess’ holy blood, shaper of all life, according to the oldest beliefs. The evergreen leaves of the holly represent ongoing life, retaining vitality through the winter, with an implied promise of immortality.

The Winter Solstice has long been associated with the birth of a ‘Divine child or King’ long before the rise of Christianity. Since the Sun represents the male deity, this time is honored as the return of the sun god, where he is reborn of the Goddess. Yule is centered around the idea of rebirth, assisting the newly born sun to grow in strength when it emerged from the dark womb of night. Mars retrogrades about every 12-16 months.When Mars retrogrades people often complain of low energy, and subtle forms of manipulation can occur within personal relationships. When Mars slows down and become stationary retrograde, or when it begins to move forward after a retrograde, combative or combustive energy can occur. On October 17, 2009, Mars entered the sign Leo, where it will stay for the next six months. Born to Cheat? Their Birth Chart will Show it!

With astrology we can analyze the birth chart and determine certain personality traits and characteristics of any individual, as well as the life path they will take. Certain transits in the birth chart, and at times, transiting planets, will determine the answer to the question, "Will He/She Cheat."

While transits may determine the probability of a cheater, it is important to remember that while a person may have the transits to be a cheater, all individuals have control over their own brain and actions. Sometimes, these tendencies are curbed by conditioning, religious beliefs and maturity. Having the transits of a cheater doesn't mean you have to fulfill that role. But, in all probability, in this day and age, chances are strong that if an individual was born with 'cheating' transits they will cheat.

Sometimes, events (transits) occur that cause a cheater to change their ways, and sometimes these events never occur and the person never changes. That is usually the case. Sometimes, an individual who is not 'born to cheat,' gets caught up in situations and makes a decision to stray from an established relationship. This is astrologically speaking, a horse of another color than a 'born cheater.'

To know if your significant other/interest is a 'born cheater,' the transits in the birth chart must be carefully analyzed. There is no single transit for a cheater, there are probably millions. There are no simple generalizations. Often, cheaters are born with planets that represent divorce. This is usually represented by some type of hard aspect between Uranus, and Venus, or Mars and Venus. But, every divorced person is not a cheater. And, at times they are the victims of cheaters.

Cheating birth charts almost always contain a hard Neptune aspect. Neptune is the planet of illusion, delusion and confusion, and well as secrets and lies. A person with prominent Neptune aspects in their chart can soar to the highest of highs, touching the divine or they can sink to the lowest depths of human depravity. Sometimes, in a life time they do both. Neptune represents both the preacher, the spiritual guru, and the drug addict and the prostitute. It's a complex planet. But, it's often there when cheating is involved. Neptune can create a cheater sometimes when it's touching Venus, Mars or Mercury, especially from the seventh house of marriage. But, this is a generalization again, and this transit alone does not guarantee a cheater, and Neptune in the seventh house can also represent a person who is going to be cheated on.

Another possibility of a cheater is someone who has a lot of Gemini or Sagittarius in their chart and likes to keep things interesting. These individuals are often not satisfied with just one partner and like to experiment and have a distaste for that which becomes mundane. But again, having multiple planets in these signs alone does not guarantee multiple partners.

Mars or Pluto in the eighth house is another sign of a person who loves sex. These people are usually more interested in the erotic side of life than most. This depends upon many factors including what aspects Mars or Pluto in the eighth house is making.

Society began to change in the late fifties/early sixties, and a generation was born with Neptune is Scorpio (1957-1970). These individuals in particular, are sometimes unclear about sexual boundaries. Again, this is a generalization, and if you were born during these years it is absolutely no guarantee you will cheat!

But, Scorpio is the natural ruler of the eighth house of shared/joint finances, change and transformation and sex. Sex often has a great fascination for these individuals and some will experience vague and uncertain states connected to emotional and sexual involvement with others. Sometimes it exerts a magnetic influence, although the real thing often does not meet expectations.

So, while there are a million fourteen transits that will help identify a cheater, the entire chart must come under scrutiny before making that assessment. And it all really comes down to what we want as individuals and what price they we willing to pay for it.

The final New Moon of 2009 appears Wednesday, December 16, 7:02 AM EST at 24 degrees of Sagittarius. Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter, the planet of higher mind, philosophy, travel, and gain and expansion.
